Contestants may sing a cappella, be accompanied by an adult, sponsor, or student (of convention age) playing a piano, or use a recorded accompaniment (piano only).
Choirs and Large Ensembles will perform during the evening services, and all ensemble and choir music must meet the music standards of Faith Baptist Church and Academy before being performed. Choirs and ensembles that fail to submit their music prior to PILOTS as stated in the requirements will not be permitted to compete.
Vocal Categories - maximum of 4 entries per event by school:
Male Solo
Female Solo
Male Duet
Female Duet
Male Trio
Female Trio
Mixed Trio
Male Quartet
Female Quartet
Mixed Quartet
Small Ensemble
May consist of 5-12 contestants with a maximum of four entries per school.
Large Ensemble
May consist of 13-19 contestants with a maximum of four entries per school.
Choir (1 entry per school)
The choir category has a minimum of twenty contestants and a time limit of six minutes. Choirs may have an adult director. The accompanist is not included in the total number of allowable contestants.
