All attending schools compete for top school in each of the six main categories: Academics, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Platform, Media, and Arts & Crafts. The top school in each category will receive a plaque during the PILOTS Award Ceremony. The school whose choir receives first place will also be awarded a plaque.
Each enrolled school accumulates points for every student that places in an event. The school with the highest score in any of the six main categories will receive a plaque for that category.
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st place 3 points
2nd place 2 points
3rd place 1 point
Placement ribbons will be given out for 1st-5th places for all entries that qualify.
