Scripture Memory

Scripture Memorization Award – The importance of committing the Word of God to memory cannot be over-emphasized. What we commit to memory today will help determine the decisions we make in the tomorrows of life.

• The student must quote one full chapter at a time to their school administration, starting after the prior PILOTS Convention to the registration at the next PILOTS.
• No more than three errors or prompts may be allowed each time the student recites the chapter.
• Students will be awarded according to the number of chapters they have memorized. Recognition will be awarded as follows:

1st place 15 Chapters

2nd place 12 Chapters

3rd place 9 Chapters

4th place 6 Chapters

5th place 3 Chapters

The Christian Living category has been created to help further our students’ education in the realm of Christian work. The events in this category are designed to help students learn the spiritual aspect of Christian work and to draw them closer to the Lord. Signed affidavits for each event verifying the student’s participation will be submitted during registration. Detailed entry submission information will be sent out via email.

These events do not count towards a student’s maximum of twelve events. Students may enter one or all of these events. There is no limit to the number of students from a school that can participate in each of these events.

There is not a school plaque for this event; rather, the students entered in this category will be given points for each event in which they score. The student with the highest score will receive a new Bible.
